We’re pleased to announce that ESN has added ABB’s Low Voltage Dry Type Transformers to our line card. At the moment, we’re offering two product lines — the ReliaGear XFMR General Purpose transformers and the Small Power Dry Type Transformers — giving our customers access to reliable, code-compliant power distribution solutions across a wide range of project types.

ReliaGear XFMR General Purpose Transformers
The ReliaGear XFMR series is a favourite among electrical contractors for good reason. Designed for residential, commercial, and industrial applications, these transformers are built with the installer in mind from the ground up:
- Easy installation – Outward-facing mounting feet and front/back slotted mounting holes provide flexibility in how the transformer is secured, while removable front and back panels make access during installation and maintenance simple and safe
- Cost effective – Lug kits are included on most units up to 150 kVA, contributing to a smoother and more economical installation process
- Built to last – Featuring a unique core and coil design using grain-oriented silicon steel, a 220°C insulation system, and rubber isolation pads to reduce audible noise
- 100% factory tested – Every unit is tested for shorts, coil integrity, current and loss, voltage, impedance, and noise before it leaves the facility
- Available in aluminum or copper windings, with NEMA 2 enclosure standard and optional NEMA 3R rain shield kits for outdoor installations
Small Power Dry Type Transformers
For projects where space is tight or precise voltage regulation is critical, ABB’s Small Power Dry Type Transformers are an excellent solution. These single-phase transformers are commonly used in control cabinets, industrial control panels, conveyor systems, and equipment manufacturing applications. Key features include:
- Compact, space-saving design with a small footprint ideal for tight installations
- Encapsulated coils to prevent corrosion and minimize noise over the long term
- IP 20 finger-safe terminals — no covers needed
- Input voltages up to 600V with a capacity range of 0.05–3 kVA
- cUL listed for the Canadian market
